Meet Pastor Jack Hayford

Jack W. Hayford (1934 to 2023) was a pastor, author, and songwriter who spent his life teaching the Bible in plain language. He led The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, California for more than three decades, wrote over 50 books, and became one of the most trusted voices in the American church: a bridge between traditions that rarely spoke to each other.

The living God dwells where His people worship, and life happens where He dwells.

He wrote "Majesty."

The hymn sung in churches around the world began in his car on a family vacation in 1977. He composed hundreds of songs, but one became a worship standard across every denomination.
