About this message

In this beautiful story of Ruth and Boaz, we have a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ as Kinsman-Redeemer. The word redeemer is defined as a person who buys back, or pays the price to bring back something that was lost. For man to be redeemed it took a man, a kinsman, to be a redeemer. They have to be related because what was the destiny of the family can only be restored by someone of the family. And so the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. God entered the human family and Jesus came to be our kinsman. The Son of God stripped Himself unto death to redeem mankind.
