This message is the third of three in the series "God's Pathway to Plenty." These three messages clarify many of the questions people have about the importance of giving tithes and offerings. Through the series we're shown the principles of being "awakened" to the opportunities God offers us through grace. We learn how to "advance" utilizing the disciplines of God's way of living. Then to "abound" in his blessings in every area of our lives, including finances. Just as Melchizedek offered the wine and bread to Abraham as a blessing, Jesus also offers the bread and wine to us so that we might also be partakers in His blessings and life changing grace. Jesus, after he had taken the bread, took the cup and said, "this is the blood of the New Covenant which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in remembrance of me." He is the One coming forward today who says' "Let me feed you and strengthen you, and flow into you My Almightiness." He provides forgiveness for the past, and power for the present.
