Jonah/Nahum: Prophets to a Dying World

Jonah's name means "dove" or "pigeon." Jonah was the only prophet sent to preach to the Gentiles. The book of Jonah reveals God's love for ALL people and desires to show them mercy based upon repentance. God has committed the ministry of reconciliation to the church and calls upon His followers to bring forth the good news. Nahum, whose name means "Comforter" or "Full of Comfort" was charged to bring a message of the seriousness of sin in the sight of God. Though His emrcy and patience may cause Him to without judgment for a season, God will ultimately announce a day of reckoning. From the album, "Majoring in the Minors."
