Severing the Past Forever

After God established new priorities for the children of Israel, it was time for them to sever their slave relationship to the Egyptians forever. God's way of escape was to send them on a route that didn't make sense. When we follow the Lord in faith, we may be led in a surprising direction, but the result will be God's protection on us and defeat for our adversary. Just as Pharaoh sent the Egyptians to pursue Israel, so Satan will do anything he can to intimidate people who've been set free back into slavery. The adversary hates the idea of losing control over you. There are times when, like the children of Israel facing the Red Sea with the Egyptians at their back, nothing short of a raw miracle will work. Faith, prayer and obedience will lead us through in triumph over our Adversary so that we might say, "Never again, no more, forever."
