The Lord never removes from any of us mission, assignment, or calling, no Matthewer how old we get, or the level of our stamina. We have been called to receive salvation for this life and for all eternity, and purpose is always wrapped up in that. You don't have labor for it to happen; just be available and the Lord will see you through. Today, your world may be dry, and like a "hand in the sand," your surroundings may seem to suck you into their ruin. How will you respond You can be fearful and preoccupy yourself with how to avoid the danger. But if you will let the hand of the Lord draw you—right where you are—into what may seem disadvantageous, He will fill you with the stream of His Spirit, and the "desert" of your circumstances will blossom like a rose. Not only will you be satisfied and sustained for yourself, but there will be an overflow from your life that will water what is around you.
