In Revelation 2-3 is Jesus telling the church how to be the church when you come to the chanpters in Rev, Jesus does inventory on the church and there are 4 notable things that bother him, the synagog of Satan, Nicolaitsm, doctrine of Jesabel, balamism, things that compromise the church Doctrine of Jezabel - a studied justification of imorality ; Synagog of Satan is legalism in hte body of Christ, Nicolaitinism - enshrined ecclesiastical hiericalism Jesus frustration with things in the church is clear and and the things that will thwart the chuch from being the church. In the realm of ministry there are issues that every leader must confront and coming to terms with the points where you have to decide what you are going to deal with. ministry requires ongoing infilling of the Holy spirit. Helping people come into the fullness of hte Holy spirit... you can't have a spirit formed church without the Spirit. Functioning in the gifts of the Spirit to help the people of your congregation to be all that God has created them to be.
