In this message, the strategy is the redemption of mankind. The event is the ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and His ascension into heaven. This strategy and event were part of God's plan for the reclamation and restoration of everything that was lost through the fall of man and then redeemed through the sacrifice of His son, the Savior. God Himself had to become a man in order to redeem all that was lost. It was the only way for a human to bring all things back into divine order. Jesus came to accomplish these things, first by paying the penalty for what had happened to the race of men. He not only accepted the payment of death but He defeated death forevermore. Secondly, He rose from the dead, and in that rising not only verified who He is, but He facilitated the release of His power for new life so it could penetrate people's lives at a double dimension. The first dimension is that we now have eternal life beyond this world if we choose to follow Him. Second, He has the power to penetrate every arena of life where we invite His rule into our circumstances. His sacrifice established the possibility for the reinstatement of the divine order which would flow out to others and go across the face of the earth.
